These terms are an agreement between you and Reels Captions. By creating an account, uploading a video or purchasing minutes you accept them.
1. The service
Reels Captions generates word-by-word captions for Reels, Shorts and longer videos — up to 30 minutes on paid plans — in Telugu, Hindi and English, in native script or Romanised form. You upload a video, our AI transcribes it, you edit the captions, and we render a burned-in MP4 you can download, along with SRT/VTT caption files.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
- You may use Reels Captions as a guest (device-based), or with an email/password or Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Upload only content you own or have the rights to caption. Do not upload illegal, infringing, hateful or otherwise harmful material.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate these terms, or attempt to circumvent plan limits.
3. Intellectual property
You keep full rights to your videos, transcripts and exports — we claim no ownership of your content. Exports made on the free plan carry a Reels Captions watermark; paid exports do not. The Reels Captions software, brand and caption styles remain our property.
4. Minutes, packs and subscriptions
- Reels Captions is billed in minutes of video. An export costs one minute from your balance for every minute of video (rounded up), charged once — re-styling the same reel again is free.
- Free tier — 10 watermarked minutes, videos up to 2 minutes and 200 MB, media stored 24 hours — download your export promptly.
- One-time packs — Starter ₹99 (10 minutes), Boost ₹199 (20), Mega ₹399 (30). Pack minutes are valid for 30 days from purchase, have no video-length limit (your minute balance is the limit) with uploads up to 4 GB, and store media for 14 days — download within 14 days.
- Subscriptions auto-renew— Lite (₹199/mo with 30 minutes/month, or ₹1,700/yr with 35 minutes/month; 7-day storage), Creator (₹399/mo with 80 minutes/month, or ₹3,500/yr with 100 minutes/month; 7-day) and Pro (₹799/mo with 260 minutes/month, or ₹5,999/yr with 300 minutes/month; 14-day). Yearly plans cost less per month than monthly billing and include a larger monthly minute allowance. All paid plans have no video-length limit — the minute balance is the limit; uploads up to 2 GB on Lite, 4 GB on Creator, and with no file-size limit on Pro. Renewal is charged automatically via Razorpay at each period's end. You can cancel anytime from your Account page; renewals stop immediately and access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Monthly minutes reset on a rolling 30-day cycle. Unused monthly minutes do not carry over.
- If an export fails, the minutes it consumed are refunded to your balance automatically.
5. Payments
All payments are processed by Razorpay (cards, UPI, netbanking). Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include any applicable taxes. We never receive or store your card, UPI or banking details. Refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6. Service availability
Reels Captions is provided on a best-effort basis. While it is in active development we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change. We will make reasonable efforts to announce disruptive changes in advance.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content you upload.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms; where reasonable we will notify you and give you a chance to download your exports first.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts where Reels Captions is registered.
